SYNETIQ clean up the streets with team litter pick

In June, SYNETIQ, an IAA company, organised a team litter pick to clean up the community surrounding the site’s headquarters in Doncaster.

SYNETIQ’s marketing team put their litter pickers into action to clear up the Doncaster site and surrounding areas, including Bentley Moor Lane and Wellsyke Road.

With sustainability at the heart of the business, the marketing team planned their team away day around doing something good for the environment. By the end of the litter pick, the team had accumulated eight bags of rubbish and five bags of recycling from the streets and hedgerows.

Helen Carling, Marketing Director, who organised the day said: “It’s important to us as a business that we are good neighbours in the communities we live and work in. We chose to use our allocated team time to give something back, and with our commitment to the environment it seemed the perfect idea. We had a lot of fun and would recommend it to other businesses and community groups.”

Elisa Caton, Sustainability Manager, who took part in the litter pick said: “We’re passionate about the environment. So, we enjoyed coming together as a team to do good for the local area and demonstrate our commitment to being sustainable no matter how big or small the project is. This is just one of the many things we do as a company to make a positive difference in our local environment.”
