SYNETIQ is proud to announce its recognition at the ATF Professional Awards 2024, where the company secured three outstanding wins, reaffirming its position as a leader in the vehicle recycling sector.

For another year running, SYNETIQ was named Vehicle Recycling Company of the Year (Large) recognised for its exceptional leadership in sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence.

Since the acquisition by IAA, Inc. and integration into RB Global, SYNETIQ has significantly expanded its global reach and buyer base, enhancing the client experience. The company’s advanced recycling processes ensure greater efficiency, traceability, and high-quality output, supported by innovations like barcoding, data-driven inventory management, and rigorous quality checks. These improvements, combined with a steadfast commitment to sustainability, have positioned the company as a leader in the sector.

In addition to being named Vehicle Recycling Company of the Year, SYNETIQ was awarded the Solution Innovation Award, celebrating its continuous efforts to drive sustainability in vehicle recycling. The company has been at the forefront of tackling the challenges posed by electric vehicles (EVs), forming strategic collaborations to enhance the lifespan and recyclability of EV batteries.

Through collaborations with Allye Energy and Altilium, SYNETIQ is making great strides in reducing environmental impact. The collaboration with Allye Energy repurposes end-of-life EV batteries into energy storage systems, cutting CO2 emissions by 60%. Meanwhile, the partnership with Altilium enables the reclamation of over 95% of valuable battery materials such as lithium and nickel, significantly lowering both costs and emissions.

Lastly, SYNETIQ was honoured with the Sustainability Award, recognising its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and advancing sustainable practices through the Our Road to Tomorrow initiative. By implementing precision dismantling techniques, the business saved 4.65 million kilograms of CO2 in 2023 alone.

SYNETIQ’s transparency, commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative, and Gold Carbon Literate status further demonstrate its leadership in fostering a sustainable circular economy for the automotive industry, where both environmental and financial benefits are maximised at every step.

Jonathan Pervin, Managing Director of SYNETIQ, commented, “At SYNETIQ, we are committed to leading the way in creating a vehicle recycling industry that we can all be proud of. Through innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, we are redefining what’s possible and driving meaningful change. Our goal is to shape a future where vehicle recycling not only meets today’s challenges but sets the standard for a greener, more sustainable tomorrow – one that benefits our customers, the environment, and the communities we serve.”
